March 12, 2015

I am very pleased to announce that Lisa Dawn Hamilton has been selected (and has agreed) to be the next Executive Director of CSRF, starting June 1, 2015. Lisa Dawn is currently Treasurer of CSRF, and was the local host for the 2013 CSRF Charlottetown Conference. Lisa Dawn is thus very knowledgeable about the current operations of CSRF, including finances, conference organization, and the functioning of the Executive Council.

Lisa Dawn is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Mount Allison University, in Sackville, New Brunswick. She studies sexuality and stress. She obtained her PhD at the University of Texas at Austin, working with Cindy Meston. She thus brings a lot of research experience to the position, along with a very friendly interpersonal style, a great sense of organization, and a lot of energy.
Lisa Dawn will continue in her role as Treasurer until the Kelowna conference in October. At that time, elections will take place for a new Treasurer, and other executive positions. I hope you consider running for these positions. I have only good things to say about my experience on the executive council over the past four years.

Our current Executive Director, Shannon Pringle, will continue in her role until May 31, 2015, working closely with Lisa Dawn to facilitate a smooth transition. Please continue to contact Shannon directly with any CSRF matters. I will remind you about the changeover in late May. I would like to extend sincere thanks to Shannon for her past contributions, and for making the transition so painless.
If you have any question or comment about this announcement, please do not hesitate to contact me.
