Registration details
If you are presenting at CSRF this year, you must register NO LATER than Friday, August 28th 2026, otherwise you will be removed from the program.
For all attendees, please register as soon as possible. Attendees who register later (August 29th to October 1st) will be charged the late registration cost (15% higher). All registrations must be complete by October 1st.
Registration categories are based on membership status (student, associate, full member versus student, affiliate, full non-member).

Hotel information
This year, we're excited to introduce a new conference format. Instead of hosting the conference at a hotel, it will take place on the beautiful Université Laval campus (see below for Accessibility Accommodations at Université Laval)
To accommodate a range of preferences and budgets, we have secured discounted room blocks at three different hotel options for attendees.

BIPOC Welcome Reception
This year, CSRF's Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) committee will be hosting a BIPOC welcome reception for BIPOC conference attendees on the first night of the conference (Thursday, October, 22) following the poster session.
Appetizers and a cash bar will be available. This will be an excellent opportunity for networking and building community with the CSRF BIPOC community.
The event is FREE for student attendees and $10.00 for non-student attendees. If you are a non-student who wishes to attend, please add this to your cart and pay for it along with registration.
Student Social Event
This year’s student social event will take place on Friday, October 23, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Le Pub Universitaire, located at 2325 Rue de l’Université, Local 1312, Québec, QC G1V 0A6, on the Université Laval campus. All student attendees are welcome! This free event will provide an opportunity to connect with fellow students in a relaxed and informal setting. Food and a drink ticket will be provided, and a surprise activity is also planned. Please indicate your interest in attending when you register.
After Dark Event
Ever wondered what it's really like to be a sex therapist? Join us for an engaging and candid After Dark conversation that pulls back the curtain on one of psychology's most fascinating specialties. Whether you're curious about what happens in the therapy room, considering a career in sex therapy, or interested in how research translates into clinical practice, this interactive session is for you.
We'll explore the many pathways to becoming a sex therapist, the rewards and challenges of clinical work, and the realities of supporting individuals and couples with sexual concerns. We'll also discuss the vital relationship between science and practice—how research informs evidence-based sex therapy, and how clinical experiences raise new questions that drive future research.
Designed for students, trainees, researchers, and clinicians alike, this is an opportunity to ask the questions you've always wanted answered, gain practical insights from experienced professionals, and discover how research and clinical practice can work together to advance the field of sexual health.
This free event will take place on Friday, October 23, after 8:00 p.m.
2026 PRESENTER INFORMATION
Oral Presentation
The individual oral presentations are brief 10-minute presentations. There will be two minutes for questions from the audience following your presentation.
Poster Presentation
Poster presentations are presented for 1.5 hour session in which you will be able to talk about your findings with attendees. Posters should be a maximum of 4 ft wide by 3 ft tall. Supplies to attach posters to poster boards will be provided on-site.
***NEW THIS YEAR: If you would like to be considered for a student poster award, you must upload your poster for pre-judging (date TBD but will be approximately one month in advance of the conference). Only a subset of the posters will then be judged in person at the conference. Presenters will be notified ahead of the conference if their poster will be judged in person.
Tips for a Great Poster Presentation
Focus your message. What do you want the reader to know in a short amount of time?
Where possible, use images to convey your ideas, rather than words.
Use bullets and short phrases rather than long text, where possible.
Words and figures should be easy to read from 4 – 6 feet away. We suggest a minimum font size of 24pt for text and 32pt for headings. Larger is better. Use fonts that are clear and easy to read.
Choose colours that are visually appealing and offer appropriate contrast. Limit the number of different colours you use to ensure a consistent and clean layout.
Avoid blurry images. Ensure figures are of adequately high resolution.
Provide visual cues that guide the reader through your poster in the intended order.
Remain near your poster during the allocated timeslot, without blocking it.
Prepare a 1-minute (maximum!) “elevator pitch” – a verbal summary – of your work. What would you tell someone about your study in an elevator if you only had a few moments before they got off at the top floor?
Data Blitz Presentation
A data blitz is a quick, concise 5-minute presentation of research findings. You are not restricted to a certain number of slides, but must keep your talk under 5 minutes. After each data blitz, there will be time for 1 audience question. The purpose of a data blitz is to articulate your findings in a quick, insightful, and clear manner. These concise and efficient talks are intended to grab the attention of the audience, convey key information, and allow for several presenters to share their ideas in a brief period of time. We want to hear about your latest, greatest, cutting-edge findings.
Tips for a Great Data Blitz Presentation
This is a quick presentation, so plan to highlight 1-2 key findings from your work. Data blitz presentations are about conveying the key message or the “sound bite” you want your audience to walk away with in a short time.
Include only the essential information—that is, the information your audience needs to understand your key finding(s). You are not there to provide the detail required for them to reproduce your work, you're there to inspire them to search out your work and get excited about your findings.
Use large images and as little text as possible. Don't crowd and confuse with unnecessary information. The goal is not to cram information from a longer presentation into 5 minutes.
Practice, practice, practice! This is true of any presentation, but 5 minutes is a really short time when presenting so you want to have it timed out perfectly (we WILL cut you off at 5 minutes). But this is very important: make sure you go slow and steady and reduce the amount you say rather than rushing to try and cram more in.
Accessibility Accommodations at Université Laval
We are currently working with the venue organizers and our JEDI committee to determine which accommodations can be provided in the conference spaces. This section will be updated with detailed information about the accessibility accommodations that will and will not be available this year. We will update this page as more information becomes available.
